Root Canals

Root canal treatment is required when the nerve of the tooth becomes infected through decay or injury.  It involves removing damaged or dead nerves and filling the space to prevent further infection occurring.

An x-ray can show the number and shape of the roots and also signs of infection / abscess in surrounding bone.
